Dimensional letters are solid, cut letters and logos mounted to a wall, a monument, or a sign panel. They add real depth and shadow to your brand — whether that’s a gold logo behind a dental office reception desk or aluminum letters across the front of a warehouse.
Signs Limited cuts, finishes, and installs dimensional signs in-house. Our Steubenville shop includes a CNC router for precise cutting, a finishing area for paint and coatings, and an installation crew that mounts letters level, spaced, and secure.
Materials and finishes
- Acrylic — crisp edges and clean colors, popular for lobbies and interiors.
- Aluminum and metal laminates — durable for exteriors, with painted, brushed, or metallic finishes.
- PVC and foam — lightweight and economical for interior applications.
Letters can be mounted flush to the wall or on standoffs that make them appear to float, and we can combine materials — for example, a metal-faced logo over acrylic lettering.

Are dimensional letters the same as channel letters?
Not quite. Dimensional letters are solid letters cut from acrylic, metal, PVC, or other materials and are usually not illuminated. Channel letters are hollow, fabricated letters that typically house LED lighting.
Can dimensional letters be used outdoors?
Yes. We choose materials and finishes based on where the letters will live — exterior letters use weather-rated materials and mounting.
